Hidden Histories

The world of Saints Row is massive and full of surprises at every corner, so it is only fitting that we would want to know how the city of Santo Ileso got to where it is today—that's where Hidden Histories come in.

The game has several other discoveries, like the Lost Wheels and HQ Collectibles, to give us a better sense of what makes the city special and unique. But, Hidden Histories and its audio messages detail each district, the gangs, and its people.

Yellow treasure chest icons on your map mark the Hidden History locations. Open your map and filter it to "Discoveries" to reveal them on your map. To complete a set of Hidden Histories, you'll need to interact with five historical markers that are not too far away from each other.

You don't need to listen to the entirety of the audio message before heading to the next one, so feel free to skip through them. Once collected, the icons will disappear from your map. So it's highly recommended to collect them all at once and go district by district to avoid confusion.

None of the Hidden Histories are missable regardless of your campaign progression.

Hidden History Locations

There are 16 Hidden History entries, each with five different audio messages, making that a total of 80 historical markers you must interact with for completion. Some sites are also connected, netting more rewards for completing both areas.

Old Town West

Two Hidden History sites are located in Old Town West; one is in Fort Cullen, where you went with Kevin for the "Office Decor" mission—the markers are all within the triangular block northeast of the Saints HQ.

The second site is inside Meeker Square, just northwest of the Buckaroo Leggins Clothing Store. Look for the giant statue of a man fighting two panthers, an eagle, and a snake.

Old Town East

There is only one Hidden History location in Old Town East, and it is connected to the previous two. This site is called Beware the Grisly Bear, aptly named for the large metal Grisly Bear sculpture found in the same lot.

Make your way to the southwestern portion of the district until you see the Metal Vulture shooting flames from its wings. These two large structures are also part of the Large HQ Collectibles.

West Providencia

The two Hidden History Locations in West Providencia are located on opposite sides of the district. The first and closest to The Church is the Rancho Providencia, located in a shopping square north of the Panther Rock Fast Travel. Completing this alongside the Furt Cullen Hidden History will net you the Werewolf Mask.

The second one is the Grand Prix near the water tower in the St. Thomas church neighborhood. Completing The Grand Prix and the Beware the Grisly Bear Hidden History will earn you the Kiss Cactus Hat.

East Providencia

Conveniently, the East Providencia Hidden History is right around the corner from the Grand Prix Hidden History in West Providencia. Make the first left from the complex past the El Bar Visual Sign. The first one is right by the church's side entrance.

For completing the St. Thomas Corvacho and the Meeker Square Hidden History, you'll receive the Pugnus Sanctus Dei weapon skin.

Smelterville West

Before heading to Lake Sabastian's west side, pick up Frank's 80/20 Brewery Hidden History in the center of the Smelterville West district. All five stations are within the brewery, across from the Los Panteros HQ.

El Dorado

Take the bridge from Smelterville West towards El Dorado and drive straight until you find the "Go Kart Go!" across the Aztec pyramid casino. The first is by the building's entrance, with the furthest being by the parking lot to the north.

Badlands South

Just south of the Lone Wolf Fast Travel spawn, you can find the Badlands South Hidden History called the Route 66 McQuarry. The first one is by the parking lot of Jackknife Cafe, across the street from the sailship Casino Motel.

Badlands North

The Lake Alacran Hidden History is located on the main road that leads to The Frontier—The Marshalls' state-of-the-art detention center in Badlands North. There is a tiny parking area right by a bus stop; the first station is adjacent to the sign.

Completing both the Lake Alacran and the Go Kart Go! Hidden Histories will earn you the Marshall Kart.

Lakeshore South

Heading back into Santo Ileso, there are two Hidden History locations in Lakeshore South; they are conveniently located right next to each other. These ten stations combined to highlight the Jasinski Park Complex, one on the library by the water and the other about the amphitheater.

The order of which to complete does not matter, but if you have it, fast traveling to the Cactus Bill Fast Travel location will put you right next to the first Jasinski Park Theater Hidden History station.

Completing the Lakeshore South Hidden Histories will earn you the Alien Mask and the Alien Hat headpieces.

Marina West

You can find the Marina West Hidden History stations on the very southeast corner of the district. The first station is to the side of the Red Faction Brewery, across the St. Santa Lina Apartments.

Completing this location and Frank's 80/20 Brewery will net you the Beer Costume outfit.

Rojas Desert North

Similarly to Lakeshore South, Rojas Desert North has two Hidden History locations that highlight one overarching place—with this one being the desert landscapes within the national park.

The first is the Sidewinder Creek Hidden History, with all five stations by the Sky Canyon overlook area. There are picnic tables, parking spaces, and a gift shop nearby.

The second Hidden History, Sky Canyon, is on the other side of the creek—right underneath the natural bridge. Completing both of the Rojas Desert Noth Hidden Histories will earn you the Shakes the Snakes shirt.

Rojas Desert South

Last but not least is Route 66 Cranston Hidden History on the southeastern corner of the interstate in the Rojas Desert South region. These five stations highlight the different attractions and tourist traps in this part of Kavanaugh County, such as the Ringers Clothing Store, the Thunderpump Gas Station, and more.

Completing this location and the Route 66 McQuarry on the other side of the overworld will earn you the Ringers Hawaiin Shirt.
